    The Minhang Preservation Collection houses the library’s preservation copies, ECNU Theses and Dissertations, bound journals, and books in the old classification system.

    General   preservation books (excluding large multi-volume sets)



    Available for loan for 14 days; renewable   up to five times if there are no reservations.      



    Fragile or easily damaged books are not for loan. Masters’ theses and

    doctoral dissertations can be

    downloaded from library website andare not loaned unless specifically

    required.


    Other materials



    In-library use only, to be returned on the same   day.

    II. Reservation and Request Procedures

    All materials in the Minhang Preservation Collection must be requested in advance.

    Submit requests via the Library Catalog System   (recommended)



    Requests submitted before 13:30,

    Monday to Friday will be available

    for borrowing the same day at Minhang Campus; for Zhongbei Campus, they   will be available on the next

    working day.

    Users may choose the pickup location when making a reservation. Once the status of the requested material shows “available for pickup” in My Library Account or a pickup notification is received, users may collect the material at the selected service point. For any questions, please contact the Circulation Desk on either campus.

    III. Other Services

    1.Readers who need to browse the Preservation Collection in person may contact the library to make an appointment. A staff member will accompany users into the stacks (bags are not allowed inside).

    2.Users who would like to obtain a book list for a specific classification area within the Preservation Collection may request it from the staff.
