Platform Overview

The Smart Library System of East China Normal University is built on the Chaoxing Smart Library Management Platform. By fully leveraging new-generation information technologies such as big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), mobile internet, and cloud computing, together with other intelligent devices, the platform enables unified management of library resources, users, applications, and interfaces. The Chaoxing Smart Library Management Platform consists mainly of the Central Knowledge Base, Local Resources, Decision Analytics, User Management, Application Management, Terminal Management, and an Open Platform. Based on the upgrading, optimization, and transformation of the traditional library model, the system integrates various types of library resources and conducts in-depth data mining. This enables the library to respond promptly to changes in the service environment, user needs, and service models, and to build an innovative, integrated, and sustainable new-generation library. The platform includes a wide range of digital resources, such as:

Books: 6.3 million bibliographic records; 3.1 million volumes available through document delivery; over 1 million full-text items accessible online.

Journals: 78 million Chinese journal metadata records; 154.78 million foreign journal metadata records; 7,300 full-text journal titles available for search and access.

Newspapers: Major news articles selected from 300 mainstream national newspapers and key provincial newspapers, updated continuously.

Audiobooks: More than 15,000 audiobook episodes, plus an online video course library containing approximately 20,000 course sessions.

Thematic Collections: Around 100,000 curated thematic topics, with irregular monthly updates.

User Instructions

1. Open the App Store on your mobile phone and search for “Xuexitong”. On-campus users may download Xuexitong directly or scan the QR code below to install the app.

2. On the Xuexitong homepage, enter the invitation code libhdsf in the top-right corner.
