    Themed Book Exhibition

Officially launched in 2014, Themed Book Exhibition program is one of our library’s signature reading-promotion services. Each exhibition presents a selected theme, featuring mainly classic works from the corresponding discipline. Through theme-based curation, we aim to “bring books to life.” The themes cover a wide range of fields, including literature, psychology, geography, history, popular science, folklore, etc. For each exhibition, different curators are invited to design the content, covering the topics such as campus culture, students’ needs, regional characteristics, and current social issues. For examples, the exhibitions on popular scientific topics curated by library staff, like artificial intelligence and gravitational waves, “The Past and Present of AlphaGo,” “Listening to the Sound of the Universe,” and “Adventures at Your Fingertips - Science Can Be Fun” ; the exhibitions curated by renowned scholars to promote the essence of traditional Chinese culture and arts, such as “Exploring Dunhuang,” “Tang Xianzu and Kunqu Opera,” “Folklore and Folk Arts,” and “New Year Pictures and Spring Festival Couplets”; the exhibitions curated by students to showcase diverse interests and contemporary youth’s scientific and cultural literacy, such as “A Century of Modern Art,” “Through the Lens,” “Nature Education: From Animals and Plants to Modern Natural History,” and “Let’s Watch a Meteor Shower Together.”
