Cinema Paradiso, located in Room 402 of the Main Library Building, is a small venue dedicated to film education. It is equipped with advanced sound, projection, and screen systems, and contains three rows of fixed seating (36 seats), accommodating up to approximately 50 people. The cinema is jointly operated by the Library and the School of Communication of ECNU and is generally not available for external reservations.

During each semester, the library hosts weekly screenings at Cinema Paradiso on Wednesday afternoons. Each month features a themed film program, focusing on classic films while also introducing contemporary film trends and new releases. The aim is to enhance the film literacy of ECNU faculty and students and to provide a communication platform for film lovers on campus. Additionally, the venue serves as a practical teaching space for students in Film and Television Production, Broadcasting, and related programs at the School of Communication.
