前言一元复始
年画是适应欢庆春节需要的风俗节令画。作为第一批进入国家级非物质文化遗产代表作名录的项目,年画不但在中国民间美术史上傲居龙头,也是世俗生活史和观念史的重要见证。
本次展览的全部展品来自文墨堂主人李文墨先生的私人珍藏,我们从他收集的两千余张传统年画中,选出从明末至上世纪70年代33件56幅精品,奉献给大家。
“爆竹声中一岁除”,“总把新桃换旧符”。“过年贴年画”是“变化中的恒久”仪式,是周而复始的人间祝福。我们在先人笔下读出怎样的生活愿景?我们在自己心里唤起什么样的故土乡愁?为什么年画似乎离我们的现实那么远?又离我们的内心这么近?
年中有画画中年——让我们去找寻百姓年年岁岁幸福生活的秘诀吧。

Preface
New Year’s paintings reflect the celebrations and customs of Spring Festival. As one of the foremost national cultural heritage projects, New Year’s paintings are in the forefront of history of Chinese folk art as well as an important testimony of world historical events and ideas.
This exhibition comes from Mr. Li Wenmo’s personal collection. From his collection of over two thousand traditional New Year’s paintings, we chose thirty-three pieces with a total of fifty-six individual components originating from the late Ming Dynasty to the 1970s for viewers to enjoy.
Posting New Year’s paintings during the Spring Festival is not only the ceremony of changes in time, but it also notes the movement in circles of human activity. Under the pen of ancestors’ what vision of life may we read? What kind of hometown nostalgia arises in our mind? Why do the New Year’s paintings seem far away from our reality? At the same time, why are they close to our innermost being?

从民俗学的角度看,春节是中国人的伟大创造。过年专有的风俗性的事物与事项,将岁时营造成极特殊的时空。年画与贴年画的习俗一起,成为举足轻重的生命印记和文化认同。
漫长而纵向的历史变迁,多元而横向的地域背景,独特而深刻的年俗底蕴,代代民间艺人朴素而卓越的创造,造就了年画这一极具民间立场的文化高峰。
民间传说、神话故事、历史典故、小说传奇、吉祥图案、花草虫鱼、天地众神、社会风俗、人生礼仪,无所不包。从世间万物到天国想象,年画和年俗,与人们的世俗生活乃至生活理想灿烂地融成一体。
年画绝非可有可无的饰物,它是老百姓心灵最美好的依托与表达——而对生活的美好愿望则永远是生命与文化生生不息的力量源泉。
