讲座名称：Current Topics in Balancing Legal Issues in Special Collections and Archives特藏与档案文献法律问题研究现状
主讲人：Heather Briston, Head of Curators and Collections and UCLA University Archivist in the UCLA Library Special Collections. Previously, she was the Head of Public Services for UCLA Library Special Collections, the Corrigan Solari University Historian and Archivist at the University of Oregon, and also an archivist at the University of California, Berkeley Environmental Design Archives. She received an MSI, (Archives and Records Management) from the University of Michigan, and a J.D. from Syracuse University, focusing on intellectual property law. She is the author of “Understanding Copyright Law” in Trends in Archives Practice: Rights in the Digital Era, and several book chapters addressing legal issues in archival collections. She is a member of the Society of American Archivists’ Working Group on Intellectual Property and the Secretary of the International Council on Archives Section on Archives in Universities and Research Institutes. Her research explores legal issues and archives, accountability and archives, and special collections and international studies.
Heather Briston是洛杉矶加州大学（UCLA）特藏图书馆馆长。曾任洛杉矶加州大学（UCLA）特藏图书馆公共服务主管，索拉里大学史学工作者，俄勒冈大学档案管理员、伯克利加州大学环境与设计档案管理员。Heather Briston获得密歇根大学档案管理硕士学位，雪城大学的法学博士学位，重点研究知识产权法。撰写有Understanding Copyright Law等数篇讨论档案馆藏法律问题的图书章节。她目前是美国档案工作者协会知识产权工作组成员，国际大学和研究所档案委员会秘书，研究领域涉及法律问题和档案，问责制和档案，特藏和国际问题等。
